Reverse Engineering - From clay model to a 3D model
A school project to create a 3D model with a scanned clay model as reference. The clay model is from a course last year which was to design and sculpt a car that had Volvos form language. The clay model is at an early concept state and therefore i added some details to make it look a little more interesting.
Volvo v40 Spoiler
During this 5 week project, we were to model the exisiting Volvo v40 spoiler, with just three sketches from different angles. The spoiler is supposed to be plastic moulded, so it is divided into two parts. Created by the Husqvarna standard with Boolean Operations which means you use a inside and outside of the model to create the thickness. All the blends have G2 continuity and the model has been built with history that you can update with just a mouse-click if you would like bigger blends etc. I also had the time during the project to add a design change to the model, by simply updating my 3 main surfaces. The new design would fit better on a more "sporty" car then the S40. But it is quite amazing how the outcome of the model can change by just editing a couple of surfaces.

Husqvarna Housing and tricky corners.
I created a existing housing for a Husqvarna Chainsaw by only looking at the real product as reference, to refresh my skills in part design in Catia v5. I also did some tricky corners in Freestyle and GSD to learn how to make "class A" surfaces in Catia v5 with good highlights and control points.
